The Anticipation
To garner attention to our event, we will host a live auction and receive donations all night for Water.org, a global nonprofit organization working to bring water and sanitation to the world. Guests that donate will receive 1 entry per $20 to enter our Apple AirPods raffle. We will be sending out personal invitations that include brochures and business cards to local vendors. Guests and prospective clients will receive event information regarding the Grand Opening through our social media accounts. A full planning wedding service curated by Pia herself will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. All proceeds from the auction, as well as all donations throughout the event will benefit Water.org. Everybody that attends the event will also receive a complimentary wedding services consultation (worth $500), as well as 20% off their first Wedding Package from Perfect Day by Pia.
The Arrival
Guests are expected to arrive at Beauty & Essex in Lower East Side, Manhattan at 7:00 in the evening on November 23. Please be aware that the location itself is speakeasy-styled, where the restaurant and event takes place behind the back door of a pawnshop. Once past the pawnshop and inside the event space, all guests will be greeted and directed by an usher. Packets that include business cards, fliers, a 20% off coupon, useful wedding information and inspirations, and a Perfect Day by Pia 2020-2021 calendar (complete with tips and timeline reminders for wedding planning!) will be distributed throughout the event.
The Atmosphere
The event will be a feast for the senses to all our guests. Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant's entrance, a wellcurated modern day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boombox, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures and an eclectic array of "oneoff" pieces of jewelry. Continuing past the pawn shop, guests encounter a grand, circular staircase wrapped around a twostory custom chandelier. The Grand Opening event space will be decorated by all-white flowers and balloons by local vendors to give off wedding inspirations. The atmosphere of the restaurant is both grand and intimate, so the all-white theme will compliment the moody but all the while effervescent Great Gatsby-esque feels of the restaurant’s own decorations. A live DJ will play upbeat music all night to keep the guests entertained. Guests are encouraged to dress up in evening cocktail attire, to have a sense of how it feels being in a Perfect Day by Pia event.
The Appetite
All guests will enjoy signature cocktails and appetizer tastings from world-renowned chef Chris Santos of Beauty & Essex.
The Amusement
A live DJ will be playing upbeat music all night to keep the guests happy and in the mood for dancing. A photo booth will be provided, where guests are able to take photos with props. Copies of the guests’ photos will be given out to them, which also double as a marketing tool because each photo printed out will have the business and contact information of Perfect Day by Pia. Throughout the event, Perfect Day by Pia will take reservations for a complimentary wedding services consultation, as a gift to any guest that attended the Grand Opening. Donations of any amount for Water.org will be accepted throughout the whole evening, but $20 will count as 1 entry to win Apple AirPods. A Full Wedding Planning Package will also be auctioned off, where all proceeds will benefit Water.org. Delicious cocktails and savory hors d’oeuvres will be served all evening. The guests are free to explore all that Beauty & Essex has to offer. Apart from the fun pawnshop serving as the entrance of the space, Beauty & Essex has four distinct dining rooms, two bars, a lounge and a women's bathroom complete with a salon including a luxurious sofa and antique perfume bottles.
The Appreciation
Gift bags that include business cards, fliers, a 20% off coupon that can be used towards Perfect Day by Pia Wedding Packages, useful wedding information and inspirations, and a Perfect Day by Pia 2020-2021 calendar (complete with tips and timeline reminders for wedding planning!) will be distributed throughout the event. The photo booth printouts, as well as digital copies will serve as tokens of appreciation for the guests. Each guest will also take home a preserved decorative single rose that is tagged with the business and contact information of Perfect Day by Pia.
